Pulsations felt while braking can result from warpage
of the brake componants, lessening braking power and
even in sever cases, allowing for brake lock up, causing
uncontrolled stopping, especially with wet roadways.
Brakes should be checked annually and especially when
any noise or trouble
with braking is noticed or felt.
Most disc brake systems
are self adjusting, but many cars still employ drum
type brakes on the rear which still do require periodic
cleaning and adjustment.
Brake fluid should be
completely flushed every 30,000 miles to prevent buildup
of corrosive deposits and rust on the internal, working
componants which will eventually lead to total or partial
brake failure. |
